Fire Groups

Fire Groups are a key part of our discipleship journey. They are groups where we get to be set on fire and set others on fire for Jesus. The groups have a focus on Intimacy, Impact, and Identity. They are team led, meeting in homes, and are based around the experiential presence of God through worship, an outward focus and radical discipleship conversations.

Fire Groups FAQ

Why are they called Fire Groups?
We have called them Fire Groups for several reasons. Firstly, we are prioritising God Himself. God led His people by fire to give light in the night (Psalm 105:39). Jesus described Himself as the light of the world and that those who follow Him would have the light of life (John 8:12). On the day of Pentecost, Holy Spirit manifested to all the disciples gathered there like tongues of fire that rested upon their heads (Acts 2:3). Secondly, we are also called to be the light of the world. A city set on a hill was seen at night because of the fiery torches that illuminated it (Matt 5:14). Thirdly, the Word of God is described as a lamp to our feet and a light to our path. Our path is illuminated by the fire of God’s word. Then, lastly, Fire Groups are an outworking of the question we presented earlier in the year, “Who is setting you on fire and who are you setting on fire?” The groups are an opportunity for you to be discipled and to disciple others in community.
How to join

Scroll through the groups above and press the sign-up button on the group you want to join. A new tab will open in your browser, fill in your details on that page and press the sign-up button.

What happens next?
Once you’ve joined a Fire Group, a member of that groups team will contact you with times, dates, and location of when that Fire Group meets.
How many groups can I join?

We encourage you to become a member of one Fire Group as you then have a place of connection and community that can deepen over time. You can change Fire Group at any time if your circumstances change.

Can I join a fire group at anytime?

Yes, you can join a Fire Group at any time. Each group has a size limit due to being home based. We are also starting new groups all the time, so if there isn’t a Fire Group available to join in your area let us know. Maybe you could be part of a new Fire Group team?

DO I HAVE TO BE A MEMBER OF A FIRE GROUP IN MY LOCALITY?
You do not need to join a fire group in your locality although that may be your preference. You can choose any group that has spaces available.
